We are excited to inform you that CSM Advisors will be relocating to a new office as of Monday July 8, 2024 . This move will enable us to serve you better with improved facilities and space to accommodate our growing team.

Effective Date: Monday July 8 2024

Our phone numbers and email addresses will remain the same , ensuring that you can continue to reach us without any interruption. We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for you and our entire team will be available to assist with any queries you may have during this period.

Important Notes:

All scheduled appointments and meetings from July 8 2024 onward will take place at our new location.
Our current office will remain operational until Monday July 1 2024.
We will be closed from Tuesday 2nd July 2024 and reopen Monday July 8 at our new Moonee Ponds Office.

Victorian Business Support Fund

Reminder applications close Monday June 1

A reminder to our business clients which have been impacted by Covid 19. The Victorian Government launched the Business Support Fund as part of its help small businesses survive the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19) and keep people in work. Applications for this fund close 11:59 pm Monday June 1 2020.

The fund provides eligible businesses with one-off grants of $10,000 through two streams:

Stream One is available to small businesses that meet the standard eligibility criteria and operate in industry sectors that have been subject to closure or highly impacted by the Restricted Activity Directions issued by the Deputy Chief Health Officer to-date.
Stream Two is available to small businesses in any other sector that meet the standard eligibility criteria and are enrolled as eligible participants in the Commonwealth Government's JobKeeper payment scheme.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

Employ people; and
Have a turnover of more than $75,000; and
Have payroll of less than $650,000; and
Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and have held that ABN at 16 March 2020 (the date the State of Emergency was declared in Victoria over coronavirus); and
Have been engaged in carrying out the operation of the business in the Australian State of Victoria on 16 March 2020, and
For Stream One - operate in an industry sector that has been subject to closure or highly impacted by the restrictions announced by the Victorian Government; OR
For Stream Two - be enrolled as eligible participants in the Commonwealth Government's JobKeeper payment scheme.

COVID19 UPDATE

As the impact of the coronavirus continues to evolve, we all face this unprecedented situation together. The pandemic is affecting all of us and I wanted to reach out to update you on how we are addressing it at CSM Advisors.

Our focus on client success is at the center of everything we do, we have had to make the unprecedented move to STOP ALL in person meetings with our clients, suppliers and government agencies until we hear it is safe to do so. Our top priority is to protect the health and safety of our employees, clients and our communities.

Rest assured we continue to work from our office as usual and aim to provide you with our services in a timely manner. If you would need any tax or business advice please do not hesitate to call or email us to arrange an appointment via phone or video conferencing using applications like Zoom.

Federal Budget 2019/2020

We are pleased to provide you with our detailed summary of the Government's 2019-20 Federal Budget.

This summary highlights the key business, superannuation and tax changes for the upcoming fiscal year. In short it appears to be a fairly responsible budget with some cash splurges to help win votes but with the federal election fast approaching, it is unclear which of these policies will be pass through parliament and become law.
